Curated by Ornella Casazza and Laura Felici, the exhibition “Gioielli d’artista” is held at the Exhibition Area of the Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze from 30 April to 15 October 2014. The exhibition documents the work of those artists engaged in technical research and contemporary art that recall the identity of the Italian tradition to reaffirm with force a style, in the sign of harmony, measure, taste and beauty.
Among the artists we remember Igor Mitoraj, Ivan Theimer, Roberto Barni and Cordelia von den Steinen. The exhibition also has a section of jewelery artists who were trained in the prestigious Florentine schools “Le Arti Orafe” and “Art School of Porta Romana“. From the table of Santo Stefano created by Giotto to horse terracotta by Jacopo Sansovino, the exhibition, sponsored by the Florentine Company Giusto Manetti Battiloro, is a mix between tradition and modernity, all in a fascinating cultural tour.
