The task force to promote the Italian know-how
“The project – explained Professor Gaetano Aiello, Director of the Department of Sciences for Economics and Business – is designed to promote and protect the culture of Made in product and designed and made in Italy.“
Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze, promoter of the Observatory for arts and crafts (OmA), for the development of a virtuous among young people, companies and research centers for the implementation of Tuscan handicraft, developed together with the TEMA Foundation and five Departments of the University of Florence, a project to protect the culture of Made in Italy. The research took the name of R.I.T.R.A.TTO, which, in italian, stands for Search for the protection, traceability and the promotion of culture and the product designed and manufactured in Italy.
This project aims at promoting local products, strengthen their identity on the international markets. R.I.T.R.A.TTO wants to encourage business development and innovation of products and production processes. It wants to ensure the most effective tools and technologies and to promote greater product traceability throughout the supply chain.
The departments involved are: the Department of Industrial Engineering; the Department of Architecture; Department of Production Sciences Agri-Food and the Environment; the Department of History, Archaeology, Geography, Arts & Entertainment and Science Department of Economics and Business.
Among the companies participating in the project include: Giusto Manetti Battiloro S.p.A, Savio Firmino s.r.l., srl Copam s.r.l., Pecchioli Ceramiche, COOPAM, Col d’Orcia in Montalcino, the Biscottificio Antonio Mattei, Corsini Biscotti, Oven Steno and Agricultural consortium of Siena.
