It’s called “Ultracentenary Companies Road”, the new project by the “Unione delle Imprese Storiche Italiane”, the UISI, Union of Historical Italian Enterprises. The association, that regroups most of the greatest historical industries of our country, organizes this “grand tour” through the historical italian companies starting from the ideas base of the Universal Exposition: to release culture all the ways, which in this case is meant as the industrial culture of the country, combining with the very important chance of discussion that is represented by the 2015 Milan Expo.
The “Ultra centenary Companies Road” forecasts 21 different milestones: two in Piemonte region, two in Veneto, twelve in Tuscany, in four different cities and one in Calabria. Most of the names in the tour echoe in the industrial history of the country, like Alinari, an historical workshop of florentine photographers, or the oil mill Fernandez Affricano in Livorno.
Among the companies to be visited in this “tour” between history and productive modernity in Florence, The Giusto Manetti Battiloro has been included. One of the many initiatives related to Expo 2015 that sees our direct participation.
