Size made with a yellow or transparent water base (component 1).

Use method

Surfaces must be free of dust, wax, oil and fat and perfectly dry. In the event of gilding on porous surfaces apply an acrylic varnish prior to Size application. Apply by brush or spray, diluting where appropriate if the product is too dense. Leaf can be applied 30-60 minutes after application depending on surface and environmental conditions. On completion, to obtain a uniformly glossy effect, wipe the surface with a non-fluffy cloth (such as microfibre). If the size dries its adhesive power will need to be reactivated with a specific activator (component 2, sold separately, Activator HA for Kölner sizes), above all where the surface to be treated is large. In the case of application on large surfaces, spray application is possible after dilution with distilled water to no more than 10%. The use of a low-pressure nozzle with a diameter of 1 - 1.5 mm is recommended.

Yield

8 – 10 m² / litre (undiluted).

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place in its original container, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Ideal storage conditions are 15-25°C and lower than 50% humidity.

Additional information

Dilution percentage, application method and quantities applied may significantly affect the workability time. The most suitable application methods should be determined by experimentation on the basis of the surface being gilded and the desired result.
