Giusto Manetti Battiloro dedicates a great deal of time to the issue of sustainability.
The company’s headquarters are located in Campi Bisenzio. Most employees live nearby, and therefore their commutes to work are relatively short, whether they choose to use public transport or their own vehicles.
The production areas and offices have been designed to maximise natural light within the building.
LED lamps are utilized for artificial lighting as they provide considerable energy savings. The 414 solar panels installed on the roof of the headquarters generate about 120,000 kWh per year, which result in an annual reduction in CO2 emissions of 60,000 kg.
The walls and the roofs of the factory are insulated, and the window fixtures have highly insulated glass windows that limit heat loss in the colder months, while also reducing energy consumption by using less air conditioning to cool the spaces.
For the packaging of its products, Giusto Manetti Battiloro prefers to use plastic-free materials, such as glass, paper and parchment.
