A great of attention is constantly dedicated to the issue of environmental sustainability.
The company’s headquarters is located in Campi Bisenzio, near the homes of most of its employees, who therefore only face short commutes with their vehicles, and can use public transport to reach the workplace.
The production areas and offices have been designed to maximise the natural light present inside the building.
For the artificial lighting, LED lamps are utilised, which provide considerable energy savings. 414 solar panels installed on the roof of the headquarters generate about 120,000 KWh per year, for an annual reduction in CO2 emissions of 60,000 kg.
The walls and roofs of the factory are insulated, and the windows fixtures are made with high insulating glass in order to limit heat loss and reduce the energy consumption linked to the air conditioning of the rooms.
For the packaging of its products, Giusto Manetti Battiloro prefers to use plastic-free materials, such as glass, paper and parchment.
