The legendary Bolshoi in Moscow, the opulent Fox Theater in Saint Louis (USA), the Colon theatre in Buenos Aires, the Opera house in Budapest, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Massimo Theatre in Palermo and the San Carlo in Naples. Not to mention the Odessa National Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall in London: all over the world there are countless theatres and concert halls richly decorated with pure gold leaf by Giusto Manetti Battiloro that envelops, in its precious splendour, stuccoes and wooden ceilings, furnishings and decorative elements, balconies, stalls, stages and foyers.
Among the numerous achievements, the Teatro la Fenice in Venice occupies a place of honour; a jewel of theatrical architecture of the eighteenth century, restored philologically, with traditional materials and techniques, and reopened to the public in 2003 after the tragic fire that had destroyed it 1996.
