Watery, glycol-containing acrylic dispersion.

Use method

The surface to be decorated must be cleaned of dust, waxes, oils, or grease and be thoroughly dry. The Canvas size must be used in environments with temperatures between 15–25 °C. If necessary, it can be diluted with water up to a maximum of 5%. Leafing can begin after 3–5 minutes. The elastic nature of the size ensures long-lasting adhesion of the gilded surface. Page turning does not cause the leaf to delaminate. Adhesion is guaranteed on paper, parchment (degreased), smooth leather, and various types of plastic sheets (without plasticizers), as well as on metallized papers (aluminum) and many other materials. Suitable for leaf gilding in book miniatures: even without burnishing, it is possible to achieve surfaces with a high degree of brilliance. To obtain a uniform glossy finish, rub the surface with a lint-free cloth.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place in its original container, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Ideal storage conditions are 15-25°C and lower than 50% humidity.

Additional information

Dilution percentage, application method and quantities applied may significantly affect the workability time. The most suitable application methods should be determined by experimentation on the basis of the surface being gilded and the desired result.
